Fuel Injection Talk

Why do I need to clean my fuel injectors and intake system?

Over time deposits that build up in the fuel and air induction system of your engine have robbed your car of its agility and performance. Modern engines are finely tuned and extremely sensitive to deposits that accumulate on intake valves, intake ports, fuel injectors and combustion chambers. These deposits cause drivability problems such as hesitation, surge, stalling, hard starting, rough idle, and loss of power.

What does the cleaning do?

The fuel injection service or air induction service cleans these harmful deposits and allows the vehicles fuel system to operate properly. Clean fuel injectors will spray the correct "mist" pattern for maximum power and economy. Air and fuel will atomize and mix properly so the fuel burns more completely and you get more bang for your buck out of the gasoline that goes though your engine thus saving you money. Your vehicle will have more power and run smoother.

How often should I have my fuel system serviced?

Intake systems can build up deposits in as little as 10,000 miles. We recommend every 30,000 miles unless symptoms warrant it sooner. We recommend it as a part of a full tune up for best performance, economy and drivability.

On the picture below the injector on the left is clogged and restricted. The injector on the right is normally operating.
